Educated in fine art and influenced by her love of architecture and nature, Danielle Rahe Fox, explores form and space relationships in her work using charcoal line, sewn line, and acrylic glazes. Danielle starts each painting by drawing a charcoal line gesture influenced by her observations found in nature, architecture, or the environment around her. Using acrylic glazes and washes, she layers translucent and opaque layers of paint and integrates sewn line on tracing paper into the work. The sewn lines emulate the expression of the drawn line. From the blues of the Pacific Ocean to the greens portrayed in the California trees, Danielle chooses colors from her surroundings intended to create a visual emotive response.
