About the Artist
Educated in fine art and influenced by her fathers profession as an architect, Danielle Rahe Fox explores form and space relationships in her work using graphite line, sewn line, and acrylic glazes. Danielle starts each painting by drawing a graphite line gesture influenced by her observations found in nature. Using acrylic glazes and washes, she layers the paint and integrates the sewn line on tracing paper into the work. The sewn lines emulate the expression of the graphite lines. Danielles background in dance and music often inspires the rhythm and movement in her work.
Danielle received her M.F.A. in Painting from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, CA and her B.S. in Fine Art from Biola University in La Mirada, CA. She has been creating works of art for twelve years and exhibits throughout California. Danielle is an adjunct professor at Bethany University and currently works as a full-time artist in Santa Cruz, CA where her studio is located. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the United States.
